Deanna Edwards, founder and CEO of INTU, got her start by providing massage therapy services for the gaming industry. Trusting her intuition, Edwards created and debuted the concept of casino massage in 1999 during the first Jack Binion’s World Poker Open at the Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. Edwards always dreamed of expanding her business and, in 2004, landed a contract in the Bellagio poker room in Las Vegas, Nevada. One year later, with determination and aspiration, INTU Corporation, Inc. was founded.  

Today, INTU has grown outside of the gaming industry, expanding to resorts, corporate events, conferences, high-profile golf tournaments/charity events, and into other states.

 

INTU is more than just a massage therapy brand. This powerful, female-led team provides a more positive LMT career experience for hundreds of women. What INTU offers is a thriving community and safe space for women to take charge of their schedules, earn more, and enjoy their work. The mission of spreading joy and peace through healing, physical touch is realized in every LMT that works with INTU.

Deanna Edwards

Founder & CEO

Deanna is a licensed OT and LMT who has developed a groundbreaking, interdisciplinary approach to muscular relaxation that fuels INTU. While practicing as an OT, Deanna Edwards realized her patients’ muscular stress prevented them from getting the full benefit of her treatments. In order to further understand the issues surrounding their muscular stress, she completed a program of study in massage therapy. Equipped with a comprehensive skill set, she developed a unique interdisciplinary approach to muscular relaxation that combines the best of massage and occupational therapy techniques. Her passion is making everyone around her feel loved, appreciated, and joyful, which is abundantly clear in how she operates INTU today.
